Gajalakshmi

The goddess Lakshmi, radiant in white and red with a magnificent fiery halo, sits astride a great white elephant flanked by attendants riding two more elephants on either side. Pink clouds drift below their feet, placing the scene unmistakably in the celestial realm. Every detail — the jewellery, the lotus motifs, the stippled halo — is rendered with devotional care.
