Against a clear cerulean ground, figures in pink and white gather in a great circular assembly, their forms blending into one another at the edges to suggest community without the loss of individuality. The painting is one of Puli Vijaya Kishore's most serene — its open blue field giving the eye room to breathe between the warm cluster of human forms. The title, meaning "gathering" or "convergence," captures the essence precisely.
